Sustainable tourism and biodiversity

In many areas, nature and biodiversity are important drivers for tourism. Sustainable tourism offers one of the best options to conserve local natural heritage while providing employment for local communities.

REVERSE consists of an exchange of experiences between the 14 European Partners of the project who are involved in the protection of biodiversity. Its aim is to promote biodiversity on a European scale, by favouring positive action in territories. The project focuses on three key topics:

  • Agriculture, food production and biodiversity;
  • Tourism and biodiversity; and
  • Land development and biodiversity.

The aim is to identify actions, which may be easily transposed to other European regions: http://reverse.aquitaine.eu/
